Andrew Gininda An open day at universities usually allows learners from Secondary school, especially grades 10’s and 11’s, the chance to visit universities and get career guidance. This enables learners to get to know more about the courses offered at certain universities, and allows for other to register. Tshwane University of Technology is one of the universities that hosted its Open day on the 23 rd of May 2015 on their Pretoria and Soshanguve campuses. Learners from different secondary schools attended the event so that they could be equipped with information they need to apply at the university. The schools that attended the event include Pelotona Secondary school from Mabopane and Buhlebemfundo Secondary school from Tsakane, East of Johannesburg.
