Car hijacking and kidnapping A woman was hijacked while driving a white Polo accompanied by her 15 year old daughter and 5 year old son in Payneville, Spring ariving home from Kwathema on 16 May 2017. According to the police the woman was waiting outside the gate of her home while her daughter went inside throught a small gate to open the gate and garage for her mother. Police said that the daughter opened the garage door first and when she was about to open the gate she noticed three men getting inside her mother's car. One of the men got in the back seat of the car and the other two of them were pulling her out of the car and put her in the back seat. AIC not pulling out of coalition with ANC Johannesburg - The African Independent Congress (AIC) says there are no plans to pull out of a coalition with the African National Congress, as long as the ruling party delivers on its promise and starts the process to reincorporate Matatiele into KwaZulu-Natal. Rumours of an impending withdrawal from the coalition by the AIC have been doing the rounds on social media, with some people claiming the president of the small political par ty, Mandla Galo, would make an announcement on Tuesday.
