Gauteng Department of Education Hosts Biggest Education Indaba

The Gauteng MEC for Education, Mr. Panyaza Lesufi, will in conjunction with the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre, hosts the GDE Lekgotla conference, as part of the mid-term progress assessment from 1 to 3 June 2017, at Birchwood Conference Centre.

Various speakers from the Education sector including Universities, Business Partners, Education Portfolio Committee and SGB Associations will converge under the theme “Enhancing the Quality of Education Provision in Gauteng”.

The key objectives of the Lekgotla is to analyse the South African Schooling System with a focus on Gauteng; and strengthen monitoring, reporting and accountability at all levels, amongst others.
